COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Steven Manley (Lexington, Ky.) will be serving as Resident Swimming Coaching Fellow for the United States Olympic Committee’s Paralympic division.

Manley joins U.S. Paralympics from the University of Kentucky, where he will graduate in August with a major in Kinesiology and Exercise Science. He is an assistant for the University of Kentucky Swim Team as well as an assistant coach for Wildcat Aquatics, an age group swim team. Manley was a member of the University of Kentucky Swimming and Diving Team and served as co-captain for two years. He holds six school records and is a 14-time All-American.

A native of Ireland, Manley was a member of the Irish National Team from 1998-2006. While swimming for the Irish National Team, Manley set eight national records and was a consolation finalist at the European Championships and the World Championships.

As the Resident Swimming Coaching Fellow, Manley will manage the day-to-day athlete training for the U.S. Paralympics Swimming Resident Program at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. He will also coordinate facility and performance services requests with resident athletes’ schedules, track athlete and workout data and assist with national team coaching at camps and competitions.

Manley will begin his duties on August 6.
