A seven-time medalist (including three gold) in Paralympic competition, Johnson was officially inducted Jan. 20 at the awards banquet of the WSUSA National Delegate Assembly in Las Vegas, Nev.

Johnson was a member of the Jamaican National Team before moving to the U.S. in 1980, and made her Paralympic debut in 1984, winning two silver medals. She won two golds and a silver in 1988 in Seoul, and was a two-time medalist (one gold, one bronze) at the 1996 Paralympic Games in Atlanta.
