Cook Adds More Cross Country Hardware in Germany
Klebl sits out, will look for fifth straight podium Wednesday

After his second-place finish Tuesday, Steve Cook (shown celebrating a win at the Paralympic Winter Games) has now been on all three steps of the podium in his last three World Cup races.

NESSELWANG, Germany - Steve Cook (Salt Lake City, Utah) earned his third consecutive World Cup podium Tuesday, finishing second in a standing 5K race on day four of the season's second event.
Cook's time of 13:55.0 was just 11.6 seconds back of winner Kjartan Jaugen of Norway, who won with a time of 13:43.4. Russian Kirill Mikhaylov was third in 14.01.1. No U.S. women competed.
In the mono-ski race, Greg Mallory (Portland, Ore.) posted the fastest time for the Americans, finishing 12th, with teammate Sean Halsted (Gig Harbor, Wash.) one back in 13th. Chris Klebl (Heber City, Utah), who has hit the podium in every World Cup cross country race this season, decided to sit out the race in order to rest for the final event, set for Wednesday.
Irek Zaripov of Russia won the race in 18:17.2, followed by Alain Marguerettz of France and Aliaks Davidovich of Belarus.
