COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Paralympians Jessica Long (Baltimore, Md.), Jennifer Ruddell (Champaign, Ill.) and Laurie Stephens (Wenham, Mass.) have all been selected as finalists for the 2006 Women's Sports Foundation Sportswoman of the Year Awards.
Each year, the Women's Sports Foundation honors athletes from individual and team sports for their outstanding performances. Last year, Paralympian Erin Popovich (Silverbow, Mont.) won the individual award for her showing at the 2004 Paralympic Games, where she won seven gold medals.

Alpine skier Laurie Stephens won her third consecutive World Cup overall title in 2006, in addition to winning the giant slalom and super G crowns.
