Wise Takes Sixth at IPC World Powerlifting Championships

Anderson Wise (Needham, Mass.) came up with a solid effort at the 2006 IPC Powerlifting World Championships Friday, finishing sixth out of 25 competitors in the men's 67.5 kg class.

Kortney Clemens (University Park, Pa.), a member of the Paralympic Military Program competing in his first international competition, finished 13th out of the 25-man field in the 75 kg category.

Two-time Paralympian Mary Stack (Ann Arbor, Mich.) is the lone U.S. athlete yet to compete. She will look to become the second lifter to bring home a medal, after Rohan Murphy (University Park, Pa.) won a bronze medal in the men's 56 kg competition.
