Eleven Athletes Nominated to 2008 U.S. Paralympic Wheelchair Rugby Team
Eleven athletes have been nominated to the 2008 U.S. Paralympic Wheelchair Rugby Team. The team was announced following a weekend tryout camp held at Lakeshore Foundation, an official U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Site. This team will represent the United States at the Paralympic Games in Beijing, China next September. Six athletes return from the 2004 U.S. Paralympic Team that won a bronze medal in Athens, Greece. more...  

The 2008 U.S. Paralympic Wheelchair Rugby Team selection camp will be held at the Lakeshore Foundation, an official U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Site, Dec. 14-16. Two full days of tryout sessions will be held on Friday and Saturday. On Sunday, up to 12 athletes will be named to the 2008 U.S. Paralympic Wheelchair Rugby Team. This team will represent the United States at the Paralympic Games in Beijing, China, next September. The U.S. Paralympics Wheelchair Rugby National Team has completed a successful week of competition at the inaugural Can-Am 'Bama Duel. The U.S. and Canadian national teams spent the past week at Lakeshore Foundation, an official U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Site, training and competing against one another. The U.S. dominated the games, going 10-2 over the course of the week. more...

The U.S. and Canada Wheelchair Rugby National Teams will be at Lakeshore Foundation, an official U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Site, Sept. 2-7 for the first ever Can-Am ‘Bama Duel. The teams will spend the week training and playing games. In order to get more players more minutes on the court, both the U.S. and Canadian teams will be split into two squads for the competition. more...
