Wagner wins quad title at NEC Wheelchair Tennis Masters
David Wagner (USA) won his third NEC Wheelchair Tennis Masters quad singles title when he beat defending champion Peter Norfolk (GBR) on Saturday in Amsterdam. Meanwhile, Michael Jeremiasz (FRA) upset world No. 1 Shingo Kunieda (JPN) to reach Sunday's men's singles final against defending champion Robin Ammerlaan (NED) and Korie Homan set up an all-Dutch women's final against Esther Vergeer. more...  

Jon Rydberg (Oakdale, Minn.) proved Friday that his No. 1 ranking in the men’s singles draw at the Parapan American Games was well-deserved, making short work of Chile’s Robinson Mendez and winning the gold as wheelchair tennis competition concluded at the Parapan American Games. Rydberg set the tone early, winning the first three games of the match before Mendez was able to hold serve and gain his only game of the first set. more...

One day before facing each other in the women’s singles final, Beth Arnoult-Ritthaler (Paia, Hawaii) and Kaitlyn Verfuerth (Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.) joined forces to win the women’s doubles gold medal Thursday during wheelchair tennis action at the Parapan American Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The duo defeated Brazil’s Samantha Almeida and Rajane Candida in straight sets, 6-2, 6-1, to earn the victory in front of a loud crowd at the Marapendi Club. more...

The U.S. Parapan American Wheelchair Tennis Team took care of business on Wednesday, winning all five of its matches and guaranteeing that at least four medals will be awarded to U.S. players.
