- Won his first World Championships medal in 2003 when he helped lead the team to silver.
- Tore his left biceps tendon at the 2004 Visa American Cup.
- Began gymnastics at the age of 4 when his father introduced him to the sport because he was so energetic.
- Attended Ohio State University and majored in psychology.
- Received Jesse Owens Award from Big Ten Conference for most outstanding male athlete.
- Named "Blaine Carew Wilson" after former Dallas Cowboys guard Blaine Nye and baseball great Rod Carew.
- Enjoys golf, soccer, biking, and spending time with his family.
- Married to Makare Desilets; they have one daughter, Wakaya.
Wilson is a veteran in the sport and still going strong. "When I step out onto the floor, I don't think anyone can beat me," Wilson said.
