Randy Jones
- 2002 Olympics four-man silver medalist with driver Todd Hays
- Four-time U.S. Olympian (1994, 1998, 2002, 2006)
- World Cup overall and combined champion (1992-93 season)
- Two-time World Championship bronze medalist (1993, 1997)
- Recorded a first place finish at 4-man World Cup event in Lake Placid with driver Todd Hays and pushers Pavle Jovanovic and Garrett Hines in March of 2001. Team finished 14th in 4-man event at 2001 World Championships (driver Todd Hays)
- At the 1998 Olympics, Jones missed the bronze by .02 seconds, instead placing fifth in 4-man with driver Brian Shimer and pushers Chip Minton, Randy Jones and Garrett Hines. He also finished 10th with Garrett Hines in the 2-man event
- At his first Olympics in 1994, Jones finished 13th in the 2-man
- He won the National Brakeman and Side Push Championships twice (in 1992 and 1995)
- Jones appeared in the opening pages of an Eddie Bauer catalog along with driver Brian Shimer to help promote the sport for the apparel sponsor
- Like many other bobsled teammates, Jones competed in other sports before crossing over to bobsled. At Duke University, Jones played football and ran track
Jones and U.S. Olympic teammate, Garrett Hines, are among the few black athletes that compete on the international bobsled circuit, which has long been dominated by European champions.
"When we're in Europe, we're in cold places all the time. You're just longing for heat when the season is done. When you're in training, you can get more done in a warm area. You just feel better. The heat makes me want to go work out"
