- 2006 Olympic champion in halfpipe
- First man to win the same event (slopestyle) four times at the X Games
- First athlete to compete in the Winter and Summer X Games in two different sports (skateboarding, snowboarding)
- Became the youngest U.S. Open Slopestyle champion in 2003
- Received the ESPY award for Best Action Sports Athlete for 2003
- Started snowboarding at age 6 after watching his older brother, Jesse, try it and after winning virtually every competition he entered he became sponsored by Burton at the age of 13
- Nicknames: The Egg, Future Boy, The Flying Tomato
- Released a snowboarding movie called “The White Album” in 2004
- Has his own snowboarding gear line called “The White Collection” and even developed a skate/snowboarding helmet with R.E.D.
- Owns three houses and a couple of cars
- Enjoys participating in other sports – “I love to potato sack race, go Grunion hunting, long distance roller-skating and dancing to the indigenous sounds of whales mating,” said White
