Mike rowed in the U.S. men's eights that won three consecutive world championship titles (1997-99) The crews were the first in U.S. history to win three titles in a row and only the second in world championships' history. Mike's inspiration is his wife, Janet Distel, who overcame Hodgkin's Disease in 1996.
