It's Every Day

Jensen's coach at the Mission Viejo Nadadores, Bill Rose, describes him as one of the hardest workers he has ever met, in the mold of distance swimming legends Brian Goodell and Mike Bruner. "He's a real student of the sport," Rose told Swimming World magazine. "He always wants to know what other swimmers have done or are doing. He'll have two-hour meetings with Goodell to pick his brain. He's done some amazing stuff in the past six months."

Quote

On how he captured his 2004 Olympic silver medal: "It went just as planned. I didn’t go out too hard. I know I can’t go out with Grant (Hackett of Australia). He has a lot more speed than I do. So I just swam the first 200 within myself. I didn’t really worry about it. I tried to lay off the legs a little bit, not get too excited and gradually try to reel them in. It’s sort of a dream come true to do that and to compete with this guy.”
