2007 USRowing Under 23 World Championship Trials Begin Monday

WEST WINDSOR, N.J. – Under 23 National Team berths in 15 boat classes will be up for grabs July 9-11 at the 2007 USRowing Under 23 National Team Trials on Lake Mercer in West Windsor, N.J.
Events include the women’s single sculls, lightweight women’s single sculls, men’s single sculls, lightweight men’s single sculls, men’s pair, lightweight men’s pair, women’s pair, women’s double sculls, men’s double sculls, lightweight men’s double sculls, lightweight women’s double sculls, women’s four, men’s four with coxswain, men’s four and lightweight men’s quadruple sculls.
The three-day event begins with time trials on Monday evening. Finals are contested in a best two-out-of-three format with the first set of finals held Tuesday morning. The second set will take place Wednesday morning, while the third set of finals will be contested on Wednesday evening, if necessary.
Winners will earn the right to represent the United States at the 2007 World Rowing Under 23 Championships July 26-29 in Strathclyde, Great Britain, if they meet the required time standard.
